2018 Blue Jeans Week 2

An exciting week!  We sent Miss A off to Spain for a semester for a college study abroad program.  She arrived safe and sound, and we are enjoying the photos she sends as she has an adventure of a lifetime!  It was a busy week getting her ready to go, and then we had some cold, cold, weather and finally got some snow!  Our first snow of the season!  Take a look at our week. . .
Miss A talking to an elementary school class that she is going to keep in touch with while she is gone so they can learn about Spain.  This was her "before" presentation, and then when she gets back she will give them her "after" presentation and will send pictures and notes while she is there.

Our family picture before Miss A left.  By the time she comes back Maai will no longer be with us, so we needed a shot before everyone left!

Miss A and I enjoyed lunch with my Dad one day this week.

And off she goes on the adventure of a lifetime!  Spain here she comes!

And here she is in Spain!  Madrid's Royal Palace!

Ben and Jesse cuddled up in a tent in VERY, VERY cold weather!  Burr!  Winter camp outs are not for the faint hearted!

Mr J and the scouts on a very cold morning camp out!!!

And a beautiful sunset with our first snow of the season!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a great week!

  1. SPAIN!?!?! How neat! Talk about an incredible adventure. I'm so excited for her & can't wait to live vicariously through her through your blog. LOL! Stay warm up there. We're supposed to drop 30 degrees by this evening & get our first snow/ice of the season! I'm hoping I can work from home tomorrow. :)

  2. How wonderful for miss A to have a semester in Spain and to be able to share in with a local class. That's so cool. It looks amazing there. Can't wait to see more pictures. We have a collaborator here from Madrid and he's the nicest guy. I had to laugh at her going away airport shot. I get that exact same raised eyebrow, crinkled forehead, fake smile face from Tyler all the time especially when I'm like "wait I need a picture" and he's like "ok mom I gotta go." LOL! Now as for those camping pictures I sure would not want to be camping in the temps you guys have had. Brrr! That's just craziness.
