2018 Blue Jeans Week 41

A fun week....last cross country race of the season, a fall festival, lots and lots (and Lots) of rain, and life is good.  Take a look at our week. . .
Sunday was General Conference for our church--The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Miss O and her roommates were able to attend in person for one of the Sunday sessions.  Here they are with one of her cute roommate's little sister.

We have had a lot of rain this week.  6 inches Sunday night.  This falls never happens unless we have tons of rain, so we went on a walk to see the falls this week.  Later in the week, you couldn't even walk where we did because it was underwater we had so much more rain

Mr J has been begging me to make cinnamon rolls, and it finally happened!  My favorite (and the quickest and easiest) are these Flaky Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls--from (of course) Mel's Kitchen Cafe...no yeast, no rising.  You can make them and be eating them in less than an hour.  So good!

More and more rain this week.  This is a picture of our side yard...there is not supposed to be any water here at all, but we have had so much rain, that we have a lake in our side yard.  Thankfully it didn't get close to the house or in the basement.

Final cross country race for the season for this guy.  He did awesome.  Passed this guy at the end to get a medal and ended his season in the top 10 in the league.

Final cross country race for this girl.  She works so hard and her team got league champs for the 3rd year in a row!  WooHoo!  Now she is ready for basketball--her real love!  (but we have about a month until that starts, so that is good)

Love this!   Congratulating each other.  Makes my heart happy.

Our fall festival was this weekend.  It was kind of cold, but thankfully no rain.  Had a fun parade, got some yummy food, and enjoyed being together.  Life is good.

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a great week!

  1. Wow! So much rain and it does look cold. We have one more cross country race Wed. before sections and then Justin gets a break until spring sports. Brandon will hopefully do basketball if his shoulder is healed enough in time for tryouts next week. Yikes! Bad timing for his bike accident. Those cinnamon rolls look yummy and love that picture with the kids hugging after the races--super sweet.
