2018 Blue Jeans Week 15

A busy, but great week!  Miss A is home!  Her Spain and European adventures were amazing, but we are so glad she is home safe and sound for the summer!  Track meets, piano recitals and lots of other good stuff this week.  Take a look at our week. . .
Sunday Miss A was in Rome before she flew home on Tuesday.  The Trevi Fountain--she threw in a coin hoping that someday she would get to go back!  Maybe we will join her next time! :)

Piano recitals this week.  Mr J did an awesome job!

Miss E also did an awesome job!  Miss O didn't have a piece ready, so it was just these two, but sure proud of all of them!

Track meet #1 of 4 for the week between the high school and middle schools....Miss E doing the pole vault for the first time.  She ended up getting third which was awesome!  Proud of her!  That scares me!

And Miss A is HOME!!!  Yeah!  While she was gone she kept in touch with an elementary school class--shared her pictures and adventures, so a few days after she got home and got caught up on sleep, she went to visit them before she started her full time job for the summer.

Put this up this week, and it is so true!  I sleep much better having everyone home and I love having everyone home!  We are going to soak up this summer with everyone home as we will be losing half our kids come fall to college. Gulp!  Cherish every day!

Fun date night Saturday night--we went to a Journey tribute band concert.  It was a lot of fun, and they were very good!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you have a great week!

2018 Blue Jeans Momma Week 14

A fun week.  Miss O had her last high school musical.  Another last senior moment.  They did awesome!  Miss A had a blast in Paris and Venice, and we had super cold weather, but then the first lawn mowing of the season!  It was a great week, take a look. . .
Miss A--An American in Paris!  She loved it there!

For my birthday the kids planted me this herb garden--cilantro, oregano and rosemary.  We got freezing rain and below freezing temps, so we had to move it indoors for a few days.  Crazy spring weather!

I love, love, love to read.  I read this book in 2 days this past week.  It was so good!  It made me laugh until I cried, and then it just made me cry.  I haven't read a book that I loved so much in a while.  Check it out!  Note: it does have some language

After being in Paris for several days Miss A flew to Venice.  Her first real Italian Pizza!  She said it was sooo good!

Miss A in Venice.  She loved it there!  Looks like an amazing place!

The high school did the musical "All Shook Up" which is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's 12th Night with lots of Elvis music in it.  It was really fun.  Miss O was in the "widow trio"  They were awesome!

The whole cast did a great job!

It was a senior moment though!  She has loved doing the yearly musicals throughout her high school career.  I admit I shed some tears!  So proud of her!

And to end the week, even though it was cold, the grass was growing, and Ben moved the lawn for the first time this season.  Now if the weather would just warm up so we could enjoy the mowed lawn!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you have a great week!

2018 Blue Jeans Week 13

Love Holy Week as we prepare for Easter and to remember our Savior and what He has done for us and all the blessings we have because of Him!  Great week!  Miss A is officially done with her semester in Spain!  She is headed on a quick European tour before she heads home in a few weeks.  We are excited for her!  First track meet of the season for Mr J and Easter fun.  Take a look at our week. . .
Miss A and some of the girls from her program at their "graduation" ceremony on Tuesday of last week.  She sure loved her time in Spain!

Mr J at his first track meet ever.  He did the discuss and did great!

He also ran the mile and improved his time by almost 30 seconds!  He had a great sprint at the end and passed 4 other boys.  Woohoo!  It was sooo cold, though! and sooo long!  I got there at 3:30 and we didn't get home until 10 p.m., and it was freezing!!!  Don't you love track season???

For a combined YM/YW activity, the kids did tye-dyed shirts.  They had some pretty creative ones!

Easter fun!  Had our friends over for dinner, an egg hunt and egg dying on Friday.  Lots of fun!

The kids ready for their egg hunt!  We have had one every year for the past 12 years!  Traditions!

Miss A and some of her friends started their European tour on the Island of Majorca in Spain.  She said it was so beautiful and relaxing!  Looks nice and warm too!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a blessed Easter!
