2019 Blue Jeans Week 34

Amazing week!  All of my kids are home!!!!!  First time since Christmas, and it makes my heart so happy!!!  Super special week to have my oldest two girls home from college and extra special to get to attend the temple with Miss A as she moves forward in a great direction in her life!  It has been a great week, take a look....
All 4 of my kids are home!   And they enjoy playing the Wii together :)

Miss O decided she wanted a project to make over her break at home, so she cut up a bunch of old t-shirts and is making a braided t-shirt rug.  Excited to see what it looks like!

Ben and I and Miss A at the Kansas City temple.

Super proud of this amazing girl!  Sure love her!

Our friends and family that came to support her.  Sure love all them!

To celebrate we went out to eat at a Japanese steakhouse grill which was super fun for the kids to have this chef cook everything right in front of them.  He was so funny and did an amazing job!  The food was so yummy!!!  It was for sure a day to remember!  We enjoyed having my sister and her husband join us.

The kids have enjoyed playing with the t-shirt braid Miss O is making for her rug.

It makes a pretty cool hat as Mr J models

And as Miss E models as they kids enjoy playing some games together.  So happy together!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a great week!!!

2019 Blue Jeans Week 33

And just like that, another summer is over!  School started mid-week here last week.  I have a senior again (ugh, hate senior years...) and a freshman.  It is very nice to have my kids in the same school--one school!  yeah!  Take a look at our week....
Miss E finished up her job as a life guard this summer--third summer in a row for her.  Great job Miss E!

We finished up our goal of playing at least one card/board game every day of the summer (didn't miss a day!).  Will have to share some of our favorites sometime.  This one was one of our favorites for sure even though only two can play it, it is called Lost Cities.  Miss E and I enjoyed playing it outside on a cooler day.

This kid mowed lawns all summer (and will continue into the fall) and saved up his money for a smart watch.  He was excited!  Got it right before school started!

Last day of summer, and we went out to lunch to celebrate.  We went to an Amish restaurant that opened up in another town close to ours.  It was so good!  I didn't get a picture of the pies, but we got pie, and they was so good!!!  We will definitely be back!

And Hello first day of school for amazing Mr J!  First day as a freshman at the high school!!! Woohoo!

And Hello first last day of high school for this amazing girl!  Senior year here she comes!

Sure love these two and am excited to see what they accomplish this year.  It is fun they will be together (we have a really small school, so they will see each other often).  Happy First day!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a great week!

2019 Blue Jeans Week 32

End of summer vacation last week.  We got away from the heat and humidity and hit 10,000 feet in the mountains at Keystone, CO where humidity doesn't exist and the highs were in the low 70's and the lows in the upper 40's.  We took our bikes and loved riding them every day around the paved trails in Summit County.  It was a great trip!  We have been there several times and just love it every time we go.  Take a look....
The wild flowers and flowers in general were gorgeous when we were there!

Getting ready to head down Vail Pass!  One of my favorite bike rides ever!  We were doing the 14 miles to Frisco, and it is all downhill!  Woohoo!

Along the path--gorgeous views!

More gorgeous views along the path!

A different day riding down from Keystone to Dillon Lake

Riding over the Dillon Lake Dam

This was our first family vacation without all our family.  That was weird!  But we could not make schedules work with our college girls, and we sure missed them!  This is our new normal now.  Hopefully next summer we can make it work before Miss E becomes another college girl!!

Hammocking in the mountains by the Snake River is the best!

Riding up the gondola at Keystone

The view from the top of the ski mountain.  So pretty!

Found some snow up there!

We love Keystone!

A beautiful mountain evening sunset!

Love from us at Keystone!

Thanks for visiting!  School has started here, so come back next week to see the start of that!

2019 Blue Jeans Week 31

I am behind.  Not a new thing.  We were on vacation last week, so that is my excuse!  A great week of summer this week!  Nothing big, just doing our summer things.  Take a look at our week....
Love getting to hear the kids play the piano more in the summer.  Mr J has been doing awesome at piano this year!

Miss E had an online class she had to do this summer, and she has been busy with that and working as a lifeguard at the pool.

Reading has also been a big thing for us this summer.  Mr J reread the Eragon series this summer.  So good!

And blurry picture, but we have been playing at least one game a day this summer.  These are a few we have played this week.

She is almost done with her online class, and she is very good at multi taking--folding laundry and doing her class!

A cooler day so the kids played badminton outside.

And on Saturday these three went on a 18 mile bike ride while I had some meetings.  They had a lots of fun and went to another town and explored and got some goodies.  It was a cooler day and they enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you have a great week!  Vacation pictures coming up soon!
