2022 Blue Jeans Week 43

Exciting week.  Our last cross country meet ever....state meet, and so many emotions with that!  Some Halloween fun and getting more back to normal.  Take a look at our week...
For years before the pandemic we helped monthly with a local church's soup kitchen.  They have not done it in person since March of 2020, so this month was their first month back to in person soup kitchen, and we were SO happy to be back and helping again!

Game this Sunday was Qwirkle.  It was a good one, and I won, so that always makes it better :)

Ben had a home health visit way out in the middle of nowhere at a home around this little lake we had never heard of, so I was able to accompany him, and while he was doing his visit, I walked around the lake.  It was a beautiful fall day and very enjoyable!

Got this picture this week of Miss E and our dear friend who is currently serving a mission for our church where Miss E is.  So fun to have them run into each other!

Our Church's trunk-or-treat was this Wednesday and Ben and a man he works with in the church had some pretty cool costumes!  Loved their beards, and they didn't plan this :)

Mr J helping me work on treat bags for the high school cross country team for their state trip.

A bitter sweet moment--Mr J's last cross country meet, and my last cross country meet ever as a mom--and after having 4 kids in cross country, I have been to a lot of meets over the years!  His final sprint to the finish line of his state meet.  Yes, I shed some tears.  My favorite part was as I cheered him on one time as he ran past me, he gave me a big smile and a thumbs up.  He was positive and present in the moment, and it was a perfect end to his cross country career which has been amazing!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you are safe and healthy and happy wherever you are!  Have a great week!

Mr J and my mom sporting Under Armour hoodies this week.

Happy Birthday to my Dad, blurry picture, but he is amazing!  Made him his favorite banana cream pie for his birthday cake.

Girls Lunch Out with some of my favorites!  We have a lot of fun together and have for years!  Best of friends!

Some of our favorite Halloween decorations....Our Mr Boo

Happy birthday to this amazing guy!  He wanted a Boston Cream Pie cake, and the filling did not want to stay in the middle, but it tasted really good :)  Sure love this guy!  So blessed to have him!

Regional Cross Country race this week.  Mr J did amazing!  Top 10 made it to state and he led his team.  He and two other teammates made it to state for next week!  Great way to end his senior year of cross country!!!  His goal all season was to make it to state, he as gone 3 of his 4 years.  He has worked very hard to get here, and we are so proud of him!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 41

Last week was a good week.  Life can get a little messy, and that is normal!  Had a great cross country meet and Mr J had a day off school that we enjoyed.  We all got our flu and COVID vaccine shots and had a slower weekend because of it.  We are all good!  Take a look at our week...
Sunday evening Ben had a meeting, so Mr J and I had a quiet evening at home reading some good books!

Real life is just messy sometimes!  Been having some problems with our kitchen faucet, and were finally able to get it replaced this week.  Kitchen was a mess, but sure appreciated Ben fixing it!!!

Mr J had a day off school this week for end of the quarter, so we went to out lunch at a new yummy place.  They serve breakfast all day, and it was so good!

Made some Halloween sugar cookies

Ben, Mr J and I all got our flu and new COVID vaccine shots on Friday.

Saturday we went to a local parade that had some awesome bag pipes!  Love fall festivals and parades!

Shots made us pretty achy Saturday night, so we chilled at home and relaxed, and Mr J did a puzzle. By Sunday morning we were all good except for some sore arms that lasted until Monday.

Getting some pictures of our favorite Halloween decorations.  Ben got this for his birthday as a kid, and we still have it and put it out every year.

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you are healthy and happy and well wherever you are!  Have a great week!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 40

Some senior moments and "lasts" this week.  Enjoying our fall cooler weather and enjoying our life, but this year is flying by way too fast!!!  Take a look at our week...
Sunday afternoon Mr J got out the music box with the kids' old recorders and had some fun reminiscing and playing two at once.  Talented kid :)

On school days I teach a 6 a.m. Bible study class for high schoolers.  Isaiah at 6 in the morning is tough, let me tell you, but these kids are amazing!  We were working on memorizing Isaiah 5:20 this past week and had some Legos to help us.

At the cross country meet this week, I met up with a friend who I haven't seen in over 2 years as she moved away, but our kids ended up at the same cross country meet this week.  So good to catch up!!

Cross country race this week.  Mr J looking strong with the front pack.  He did awesome and stayed up there!!!  Next week is League!  Season is starting to wrap up!

Friday was the last home football game, so it was senior recognition night.  We got to walk across the field when they recognized this kid for band and cross country this fall.  Sure proud of him!

The last band half time performance.  Man, these lasts are not easy!!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you are healthy and happy and safe! Have a great week!!

Amazing race for Mr J this week.  He improved his time by a full minute with a season's best time!  Love watching him run!
