2021 Blue Jeans Week 46

We had a good week.  Busy week.  Adjusting to this new "normal" has definitely been interesting.  In some ways I think I liked when there was no where to go or nothing to do :)  Finding the balance is the challenge.  But a good week-fun jazz band stuff with Mr J and getting our outside Christmas lights up.  Take a look at our week...

Had lunch at my sweet friend's house this week.  We are COVID friends--met checking in patients at our community's 8 weeks of COVID vaccine clinics earlier this year.  She is awesome!

Mr J made it to district jazz band.  Last year he did also, but they never had a performance.  This year they did.  Interesting masks you can wear while you play your instrument!  He had a solo and did awesome!  Fun to go see him perform! 

Mr J and his AMAZING band instructor!  We LOVE her!  She is just awesome!

Our Friday night pizza and movie night.  Is 3 pizzas too many for 3 people?  I guess not.  Watched the new Marvel Shang-Chi movie and loved it!  So fun!

Saturday we had a sunny and 60 degree day so I heavily encouraged Ben and Mr J to put up the outside Christmas lights :)  and they obliged me.  What good guys!  This coming weekend it is going to be 40 outside when we would normally put them up, so good to get them up now!

Date night this week.  We went to a concert where the band was doing Elton John and Billy Joel music.  SO good!  Fun to go out.  Music is a balm for the soul and just makes you feel good!  Sure love this guy and our weekly dates!

2021 Blue Jeans Week 45

We had a wonderful week!  Ben and I flew out to see Miss O and get some wedding stuff done.  It was a great trip to be with family.  We just missed Mr J!  Have a look at our week....

Attended the temple with Miss O and all these wonderful people there to support her!

Went wedding dress shopping with my girls!  So excited for Miss O!

Had dinner with our family and Mr JC's family.  Such Wonderful people!  Missing our Mr J!

We stayed at my family's cabin in the mountains for the weekend and had some beautiful morning walks!

Sky and low clouds in the valley one morning were gorgeous!

Went to our favorite place to get thick ice cream shakes!

Sure love these two and excited to have Mr JC as part of our family!

Enjoyed some family game nights!

Love these guys!  Missing Mr J!

Also got to see my 95 year old grandma!  Made my day.  She is amazing!

2021 Blue Jeans Week 44

Busy week starting with Halloween on Sunday.  We had no trick-or-treaters as normal.  We had yummy pumpkin sugar cookies though!  Did some things with some girlfriends and got some pictures from my college kids.  Ben and I got away for the weekend.  It was a good week.  Take a look...

One of our favorite Halloween traditions is making and decorating sugar cookies. Mr J helped me make them this year.

Miss O and Mr JC on one of their temple trips through the state of Utah this week.

My mom went out to visit family and took my kids and others to dinner.  Fun to see them all together in this picture with my amazing 95 year old grandma!

Went with a good friend to worship in the temple this week.  Love this girl! Had a great day!

Went with some other friends for a GLO and shopping.  Love these ladies!

My girls went shopping and had lunch together and sent me this.  Made my heart happy!

Ben and I went to the city for the weekend and also visited the temple.  It is such a place of peace and a wonderful place to feel God's love!  It was a great weekend!

2021 Blue Jeans Week 43

Super exciting news this week!  We have another wedding in the family!!!  WooHoo!! Soooo excited for Miss O and Mr JC!!!!  Take a look at our week...

Our church had a trunk or treat that was moved inside due to rain.  Nice to do one this year!

Date night this week was eating out and then going on a bike ride.

But the MOST important thing that happened this week was these two got engaged!!  Miss O and Mr JC!!!!

SOOOOO excited for them!  December wedding (yes that is fast, but its all good!)  So excited to add this amazing young man to our family!

And I think these are my only kids that dressed up this year for Halloween---Mr A and Mrs A went to a Halloween themed murder mystery party.  She was the judge (RBG vibes) and he was a rich railroad baron.  Lots of fun!
