2022 Blue Jeans Week 34

Our final week with Miss E as she flew back to school on Thursday.  It was fun to have her here for a few weeks in between her European travels!  It was a good week, take a look...

Miss E decided she wanted to make a table runner for her kitchen table at school, and she wanted something that made her happy when she saw it, so we went to my mom's to pick out some fabric (because my mom has tons of fabric).  She picked this cute bear car track print to make into a table runner.  She found some old match box cars to take and put on it.  I think that will be really fun and definitely make her happy when she walks in the door to see that at school!

Mrs A first day of school in her last year of law school!!!  Woohoo!  Go Mrs A!

Miss E made us some amazing French baguettes that she learned how to make at Paris' Le Cordon Bleu cooking school.  They were amazing!

On the day I had to take Miss E to the airport, her flight wasn't until the evening, so we spent a fun day in the city before she left.  We went to the temple together which is always wonderful!

We tried a Japanese place for lunch that was really yummy!

And later in the day we tried a gelato place, which Ella said didn't really compare, but was still good!  Gelato is just better if you have it in Italy :)  Then we got her safely to the airport, and she arrived safe and sound and is now all moved in  and ready to start school, but we will sure miss her here!

Went to lunch with my dear friend.  We have a lot of fun together.

Miss E made it back to school, and Mr and Mrs A took her out to dinner. So sweet of them!

On Saturday, Ben and I were back up in the city to attend the temple again with a friend going through for the first time.  We had a fun day date up in the city.  Sure love this guy and being with him!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 33

What a fun week!  We had Mr and Mrs A visit us this week.  We were so excited to have them!  Not any really big plans, but we just enjoyed spending time together, and our weather was a little cooler, so we could do some stuff outside which was nice. It was a great week!  Take a look...

Yeah!  Mr and Mrs A are here!  Miss E helps Mrs A with her hair Sunday morning as we get ready for church.

Mr J played a special musical number at a community church this Sunday and did a beautiful job!

Yeah!  Look who is here, and look what they brought me!  Mrs A made (knitted) these ADORABLE mice for me!  So cute!!! I love them!

Puzzle time with Mrs A here.  We all love doing puzzles.

Made our August cake while Mr and Mrs A were here to help us enjoy it.  It was a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting--one of our favorites!  Miss E decorated it and did a great job!

Love walking on the trails with these kids!

Had fun playing disc golf with them too!

First day of school for Mr J!!  SENIOR YEAR!!!  crazy! And funny thing is I just noticed he wasn't wearing shoes in this picture...but he did wear shoes to school....

While Mr J had school, we went out to lunch :)

Another day of disc golf, and we were happy Miss E could join us!

Date night this week was an evening bike ride. Lots of fun!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 32

I am behind again....getting caught up.  Super hot weather this week, so we did a lot of stuff inside.  It was a good week.  Take a look...

Sunday puzzle as we listened to Ben read to us.  

Love listening to this kid play!  He is so good!

Ben gave blood this week for the first time in a long time!  Way to go!

Date night this week was dinner out with friends.  It was delicious and wonderful company!

Miss E is practicing her amazing baking skills she learned in Paris this summer.  She is making real bakery croissants.  They are a lot of work!

The results were AMAZING!!!  So good!  

Playing adapted pickleball in the church because it is just way too hot to be outside!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 31

Miss E is HOME!!!  Safe and sound in the USA!  She had an amazing time in Europe for 10 weeks! and LOVED it!  but it is sure nice to have her home for a few weeks before she heads back to college!  Mr J is enjoying not being the only child at home again!  Take a look at our week...

She is HOME!  Flew in from Paris Sunday and we are so glad she made it safe and sound with no delays or issues at all!!  What a blessing!

Miss E had some amazing food while in Europe, and she come home with a list of foods to make. She went to Wales and had Welsh cakes, so she made those for us.  They are yummy!!!  Will definitely make those again!

We voted!  The first in person voting for Miss E!  She has done all the others via mail in, but today was her first in person!  Glad we can vote!

Miss E took a pasta making class while in Italy, so we ordered a pasta machine so she could make us some homemade pasta  here!  Looking forward to that!

Went up to the city with this awesome girl and went to the temple.  Love serving with her there!

While in the big city, we had scouted out an authentic Italian Pizza place to try.  Miss E said it was good, but it was better and cheaper in Italy :)  Some day we will have to get there and try it!

So these kids have been friends pretty much since they were all born.  The tallest boy has been on a two year mission for our church in Brazil, and just got home, so it was fun for them to be together again!  They are friends that are more like family!  Miss E and he played together as babies, and went to school together from preschool to high school graduation.  Love seeing them together again!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 30

Summer is quickly slipping by!  Good bye July!  It was a good month, but really hot!  Take a look at our week...

Our Sunday game was Catan Dice. We love regular Catan, but this is great for a quicker game.

Love doing puzzles.  When it is so hot out, it is nice to stay in and do a puzzle in the evenings!

Jam making day this past week.  I did one batch of strawberry coconut and 2 batches of raspberry.  Yummy!

Miss E and some of her friends at the Paris Temple.  So pretty! 

My mom and her 70th birthday party that she celebrated in Utah with family because of various circumstances right now with my grandma that my mom needed to be with her, so she got to celebrate with my two girls and their husbands, and my brother and sister and their families.  Happy birthday Mom!  You are amazing!

And Miss E learning to bake bread in Paris at Le Cordon Bleu.  So awesome!

Date night this week was an outdoor concert on a very enjoyable summer evening, not too hot.  It was a fun concert.
