2017 Blue Jeans Week 6

Last week was a nice slower week with only 3 days of school because of parent teacher conferences.  It was nice and much needed.  I think the whole town has been sick, and everyone needed to stay home and let the schools air themselves out and get rid of all the germs!  Ugh!  Tis the season right now.  Miss O had a yucky ear infection, but she is doing much better and was feeling good enough that we could get away for a day on one of their days off.  It is nice to go on little day trips every now and then.  It has been a good week.  Take a look. . .

This cute missionary from our Church has been serving in our area for about 6 months.  He spent Christmas with us and is going home this week, so we had to get a good-bye picture.  Have sure enjoyed having him in our home.

Yeah, a day off!  And we went to the city to the art museum!  So cool!

One of the kids' favorite modern art pieces--that is all wood--little, individual pieces of wood.  Amazing!

After the art museum we went out to eat at a new yummy place and then headed to a cool park.   The kids found this awesome tree.

And they had fun making holes in the ice with some golf clubs we had in the car :)  We decided the park was awesome, but we want to come back when it is a little warmer and the flowers are in bloom because it had a neat rose garden we want to see.

A fun family day!!!  But we were missing Miss A!

And I wanted to show you this bread that I made!!!  It is the Famous NYT No Knead Bread and recipe in that link.  It was very easy--just have to plan ahead--you make it the night before you want it.  We devoured it--no leftovers.  I need to make it again.  Yum!  Is there anything better than warm homemade bread?  Not much in my book :)

Thanks for visiting!  Come back soon!  Have a great week and Happy Valentine's day!!!

  2. That's crazy that you were also released as YW President! I have soooooo much more free time now. I'm going to be a Relief Society teacher, which I'm super excited about. I thought I'd be called as the Primary chorister, so that's funny that you were! I hope y'all are doing well & having a WONDERFUL week! :) ♥
