2017 Blue Jeans Week 16

Big, busy week!  Easter, piano competition and PROM!!!  It was our first prom ever since Miss A never had any desire to go when she was in high school.  Big, long weekend, but it was good.  We survived and are still trying to catch up on our sleep, but it is all good.  Take a look at our week. . .
Easter Sunday!  My beautiful kids!  I guess we were going for a blue/gray theme, but I don't think we meant to do that :)

Easter dinner at my Mom's.  Mr J helped her make her famous bunny-buns that she has been making every Easter since I was little.  They are yummy!

Easter dinner was a very fancy affair this year.  Mr J helped my mom get ready and they used the gold plates :)

And my Miss A who we were missing on Easter sent me her Easter picture with her cute roommate and some of the beautiful flowers on campus.

Piano competition for Mr J and Miss E.  They did awesome!  Both got gold medals!!!

And hello prom!  Prom is a big deal in our small town school.  Miss O and her cute date.  This was her first date ever.

They looked classy in their black, white and red.

Off they go do the junior prom dinner, then to the grand march.

The grand march involves each couple driving up to the school in their car, getting out, and walking up to the main entrance of the school.  It is a huge community event that everyone comes out for.  Lots of fun!  Lots of pictures and then the kids go into the dance in the school and everyone else leaves.

The Prom is put on by the juniors and Miss O is the junior class president, so she has been working really hard to decorate and get things ready for the dance this week.  The after prom is put on by the junior parents--so us :)  So after the dance the kids came to a big gym and we had food--pancakes!  games and lots of activities until 3 a.m.  Then we all headed home and crashed!  Long day, but lots of fun!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a great week!!!

  1. What an amazing week. Beautiful prom dress and love all those small town prom traditions. Here the kids don't even have prom in our city. They head to a fancy hall in Sacramento which is across the river. Looks like great fun and I bet it was an amazing time.
