2017 Blue Jeans Week 52

I am behind.  I am in the phase where I have to ask myself a few times daily, "what day is it?"  But school starts back up today, so hopefully that will help.  We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's.  It was extremely cold, but we stayed warm inside being together and playing games.  Christmas Eve is always a big celebration here, and this year did not disappoint.  I am taking down Christmas and getting ready for the new year, but today take a look at our last week of 2017 which was a very good year....
Christmas Eve and Maai played a special Thai flute for us as part of our evening of song and music that we have on Christmas Eve.  It was pretty cool to hear.

The three wise men and their "gifts" for our Christmas Eve Nativity.

The shepherds all ready to go!

The Angel of the Lord and the star :)

And don't forget the sheep!  Miss O did a great job there :)

And our tradition of new PJ's on Christmas Eve

And Christmas morning Santa did come, we must have been good!

Christmas day is pretty laid back at our house.  We enjoyed playing new games the kids got in the evening.

Day after Christmas my sister and brother-in-law joined us for a fun evening of games.

And we have been extremely COLD here!  Temps in the negatives, and this is our foreign exchange student Maai's first winter ever since she comes from Thailand, so it has been really cold for her!  The kids were bored and decided to go for a walk in the negative temps....they got very bundled up and last 5 minutes :)  because "baby, it's cold outside!"

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

  1. Looks like y'all had a WONDERFUL Christmas. I LOVE it that y'all gave Maai a Book of Mormon in her language for Christmas. Stay warm!!! ♥

  2. By the way, how did you get pics to post on your blog? Do you upload them directly from your computer? I have mine in Google Pics & every time I try to upload them it says they can't! I looked on a Blogger help forum & it seems like several people are having that same issue.

    1. I always upload them directly from my computer and have never had an issue. Hopefully you can get it figured out!

  3. Brrr! Looks cold which is the opposite here. We did finally get some rain but still pretty warm for Dec/Jan. Looks like a fantastic Christmas and so fun to share it with a new friend who has never experience Christmas before. She's a lucky girl. Have a blessed new year!
