2017 Blue Jeans Week 11

We are enjoying a much needed spring break this week.  Last week was a great week--basketball banquet, Miss O ran her cardboard car, and we celebrated Pi Day and St. Patrick's day in our traditional way.  Take a look. . .
Ben got a new lawnmower and had to try it out. . .in the cold (notice his hat and gloves) before the lawn really needs to be mowed (it is still mostly dead), but that is okay.  Boys and their toys :)

Basketball banquet...Miss E with her coach talking about what a hard worker she is.  They had a great season and we are sad that is is over.  I am extremely grateful for good coaches in the lives of my children!  This one is one of the best!

Happy Pi Day!  3.14 :)  We had some extra friends staying with us this week so we could share the pie!  We made a lemon cream and an apple--yummy!

Miss O and her train crew showing off their cardboard car--made only of cardboard, Elmer's glue and one dowel rod for the wheels.  Pretty cool!

They had to run the cars down this ramp and were judged on how far they went--this was for physics class. The whole school came out to see them run.  It was pretty fun.  Their train got 2nd place.  It did really well.  Some of the cars didn't make it down the ramp which was sad after all the work the kids put into it.  I am so grateful for amazing teachers in the lives of my kids!

And Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!  We had our traditional green dinner tonight.  Mel at Mel's Kitchen Cafe had these yummy green muffins here that we made and all loved. Yum!

And hello spring break!!!! Yeah!  We started it off right with donuts for breakfast!!!  Bring on sleeping in!!!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you have a great week!!

  1. Looks like a super fun week! Those pie's look yummy. Wish I had the time to make ours but I barely was able to get them bought! LOL! Enjoy your week off. Tyler is home for the week on break but the other kids don't get their spring break until Easter week which is kind of a bummer. I don't think he minds having the house all to himself for most of his vist though ;0)
