2017 Blue Jeans Week 35

Busy full week of school!  A hard week as well as Miss A headed back to college, and we won't see her until Christmas!  That was hard!  First cross country meet, first football game, lots of stuff this week.  Take a look...
Once a week we have what we call family home evening.  We have a lesson, sing songs, play games, eat treats, and someone shares a favorite scripture.  Miss O was on scripture, and she shared one that was on our egg carton :) "This is the Day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalms 118:24.  Love it!

And this is the last time these 4 will be together until Christmas.  Makes my heart hurt!  Will sure miss that Miss A!!

My lunch date at Chick-fil-A before I dropped her at the airport.  The frosted lemonade made it a little easier to say good-bye :)

Last first cross country meet for Miss O, and her sister has her back--Miss E right beside her.  Their team got first!!!  A great way to start the season, and I love watching my girls run together.

And this was Mr J's first ever cross country meet as a 7th grader.  7th graders are only supposed to run a mile, but this meet had them running 2 miles.  His coach was not happy, but Mr J had a good attitude.  I asked him how it went, "Well, it wasn't the worst race ever.  I didn't get last and I didn't throw up, so it was pretty good."  Ah!  Love his attitude!

These cuties were unintentionally twins as they went to school today.  They are both involved in Student government--Miss E as class pres and Miss O as student body secretary.  These are their Student government shirts that Miss O designed.
And love football season because it is marching band season :)  Miss O is out there playing the mellophone.  Miss E is only doing jazz band this year, so no marching band for her.   And we even had some fall like temps to go with the first cross country meet and first football game, so Life is Good!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a good week too!

  1. It is hard to send them back to school and say good-bye. Tyler is still home until the 21st when I drive him down and come home alone. We will get to see him at Thanksgiving though so just a couple months. Thanks for the well wishes on my recovery. So far so good! Looks like a super busy week for you with all the school activities. Hard but fun too. Glad it's all off to a good start and hope it continues that way.
