2017 Blue Jeans Week 36

We sure enjoyed our Labor Day weekend.  We need 3 day weekends more often!  Miss A started school this past week on Tuesday.  Another cross country meet, and we will be hosting a foreign exchange student this year from Thailand.  She is here the whole year, but will only be with us for a few months as she is living with other families in our town too, but we got to meet her and have her a few days this week.  Exciting week.  Take a look. . .
To start off Labor Day Miss E and Ben decided to experiment with different pancake recipes, so they made 4 different kinds for breakfast--Yummy!

Showing off their pancake creations--banana, chocolate chip, strawberry cream cheese and lemon blueberry.

After a yummy pancake breakfast we headed to play pickle ball.  Have you ever played that?  It is similar to tennis only on a much smaller court.  It was a lot of fun!

And Miss A on her first day of her sophomore year of college!

Cross county meet for the week.  A friend took this picture.  My girls are on the sidelines very enthusiastically cheering on their team mate!  LOVE the cheering section!

And my girls during their race.  Miss O with Miss E right behind her.  Their team got 2nd which was awesome and both girls medaled.  It was a good meet!

We had our foreign exchange student who will be living with us later in the year come for a few days.  Her name is Miss M, and she is from Thailand.  We had a bonfire and roasted hot dogs and had smores.  She had never done that nor had those foods before.  We thought it was a pretty good American thing to do :)  Smores are a favorite at our house, and we were happy to share them with her!

Hope you had a great week!  Thanks for visiting!!

  1. Yummy pancakes! I've never heard of pickle ball. Justin would love it. How fun to have an exchange student your community shares. We had one from Japan my senior year of high school and it was great for our small non-diverse community. Good luck to Miss A starting her 2nd year at BYU and great cross country pictures. Thankfully the coach took good pictures at Justin's meet that missed last week and just shared them. I'll have add his individual running shot to my blog. It's a good one. Have a great week!
