2022 Blue Jeans Week 48

A little late getting this week posted, but better late than never.  Got home from our Thanksgiving trip and got the house decorated.  Christmas here we come!  Take a look at our week...
Getting our 12 foot Christmas tree put up is always a process.  It is so beautiful all decorated though!

Ben and Mr J worked hard on getting the outside lights done.  Always love that!

Mr J made some amazingly huge rolls for dinner last week.  They are from here, and normally would not be that large, but we let them rise a little long, but they were delicious!

Game we played one evening by the Christmas tree was Low down.  Always fun to play by the tree.

Did a library run this week.  Was needing some new books!

And got my November cake in the last day of the month!  This is a biscoff pumpkin pecan cake, and it was so yummy!

Friday night pizza night.  There were just the 2 of us as Mr J was at a basketball game, but we still made 3 pizzas.  You can never can have too much pizza, right?

Saturday Mr J had an all day band practice to get ready for his district band concert that night.  The concert was amazing!  Now he auditions for state band.  Fingers crossed!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you are safe and healthy and happy!  Have a great week!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 47

Thanksgiving week!  So much to be thankful for!!!  Loved spending the week with all our family!!!
Sunday after we all went to church together.  Made my heart happy!

All my kids!!!

Got to go to lunch with a dear friend who used to live by me, but now lives in Utah.  So fun to catch up!

Spent most of our time at my grandparent's cabin which has so many fun memories!

Went on a fun hike to this suspension bridge.

One night for dinner we made dumplings which were amazing!  Mr JC's family makes them, and he taught us how.

Lots and lots of dumplings!

And we ate a lot of dumplings!  So yummy!

Played some pickle ball, it was a little cold, but still fun.

Thanksgiving prep...getting the ruler out to fold the rolls.

Our crew at Thanksgiving dinner.  My sister and her family joined us along with Ben's parents and Mr A's sister.  We had a great group!  I don't think we got everyone in this photo, but it was as close as we could get.

The dessert table.  Yummy!

Our traditional Tree of Thankfulness that everyone contributed to.

Playing glow-in-the-dark basketball with Ben's sister's family on the evening of Thanksgiving. Lots of fun!

And our last family picture before we said good bye and flew back home.  Sure love these guys!

Hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 44

Time seems to be flying by as October ended and November began, and Thanksgiving seems just around the corner.  As I told someone this week, the days are long, but the weeks fly by!  We had a good week last week.  Take a look...
Went to a baby shower for a cute friend.  I have not been to one of those in a long time!!!  So fun!

We had a busy day Sunday and this was what our dinner consisted of.  Can you tell we are fans of Cheerios? :)

But we also decorated cookies to go along with the Cheerios.  You know, you need balance :)

Our Jack-o-lanterns this year looked good!

Halloween tradition of dinner in a pumpkin.  Yummy!

Our kids costumes this year...Mr and Mrs JC

Miss E rocking her Le Cordon Bleu cooking attire from this summer in Paris

Mrs and Mr A at their trunk-or-treat.

And Ben's work always dresses up.  All of them got orange scrubs

And all of them had this on the back, and their office manager was dressed up like a security officer.  Pretty funny!

Went exploring this weekend on a new hike that had some impressive rocks to get around.

Pretty views at the top

It was a 5.6 mile hike and tougher than we were expecting, but we did it!

Mr J having some fun in the rocks along the hike.

Hope you had a great week!  Stay safe and happy and healthy and thanks for visiting!
