2022 Blue Jeans Week 38

A little late posting this week.  Fall weather finally hit and we are so happy about it!  Huge Cross country meet last week and some fun pictures from the college kids.  Take a look at our week...

Mr J graced us with some of his chalk art this week.  It was way too hot when he made this and we were so ready for fall, and it has finally arrived!

Miss E and Mrs A get together for lunch once a week.  Love this picture of them at lunch this past week.

Mr J picked me some wild flowers this week. He knows I love flowers.  Made my heart happy!

HUGE cross country race this week.  There were 350 guys in Mr J's race.  This is a big pre race prayer circle they do. Love cross country races!  

Ben and his amazing department being recognized this week.  What an awesome rehab team!

Our Utah kids got together for dinner last week.  Love seeing them together!  They have fun!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 37

Another fun week.  Another first place finish in his cross country race for Mr J.  First home football game of the season.  Still no fall like weather.  Temps in the 100's this week.  Way too hot, and we are so ready for fall weather!!!  but we are good. Talk a look at our week...

Had my monthly lunch with my good friend this week!

Visiting the schools this week, and this is a teacher all 4 of my kids have had.  She is pretty amazing.  She lives on a farm, and she brought a few of her sheep and goats to school to show to the kids today, and I was visiting the school so got to see her and her animals. Pretty amazing lady!

Friday night lights and the band's half time performance.  Mr J and the band doing great this year!  

Date night this week was the football game Friday night.

2022 Blue Jeans Week 36

Had a great week last week.  Cross country meet, a Monday holiday and just waiting for fall weather and cooler temps!  Take a look at our week...

I love sunflowers. They bloom in the hottest, driest part of the summer.  Mr J picked these for me from our backyard and had them in a vase on the table.  They make me happy.

Labor day bike ride.  We went out early before it got too hot.  It was a fun ride together.

 Cross country race for this week.  It was so hot and dry, but Mr J did amazing and got first place!!!  Woohoo!  Awesome race for him and his team also got first place!

Friday night pizza night.  Doing sour dough pizza crust which is now our favorite!

Cute Mr and Mrs A at a 80's themed party.  So fun!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 35

In the thick of school here now.  Miss E and Mr A started school this week.  Mrs A started last week, and Mr J has been going for a week more than that.  First cross country race of the season--his last season!  It was a hot day, but he did awesome!  It was a good week, take a look...

Sunday game was the card game of Bold.  Simple, quick and fun.

Miss E on her first day of her junior year at college! 

Mr A on his first day of his PhD program! 

Our bird feeders and the humming bird who stands guard by the feeder and chases off all the other humming birds so they can't eat.  It is pretty entertaining to watch.

Made Focaccia bread this week and it was so yummy!

First cross country race of the season for Mr J--his senior year, the starting of the "lasts"... last time to run this course.  He did amazing!  Looking forward to a great season!

Date night this week was a local football game where a close friend was playing.  It was a cool evening and perfect for football!  Looking forward to Friday night lights again!

Saturday was a get things done day so our Monday holiday can be more fun.  Mr J and Ben changed the oil in a few of the cars.  Good life skills!

These cute kids went to a local festival and got these amazing cinnamon rolls and had a great time together.  So glad they can be together, but we miss being with them

2022 Blue Jeans Week 34

Our final week with Miss E as she flew back to school on Thursday.  It was fun to have her here for a few weeks in between her European travels!  It was a good week, take a look...

Miss E decided she wanted to make a table runner for her kitchen table at school, and she wanted something that made her happy when she saw it, so we went to my mom's to pick out some fabric (because my mom has tons of fabric).  She picked this cute bear car track print to make into a table runner.  She found some old match box cars to take and put on it.  I think that will be really fun and definitely make her happy when she walks in the door to see that at school!

Mrs A first day of school in her last year of law school!!!  Woohoo!  Go Mrs A!

Miss E made us some amazing French baguettes that she learned how to make at Paris' Le Cordon Bleu cooking school.  They were amazing!

On the day I had to take Miss E to the airport, her flight wasn't until the evening, so we spent a fun day in the city before she left.  We went to the temple together which is always wonderful!

We tried a Japanese place for lunch that was really yummy!

And later in the day we tried a gelato place, which Ella said didn't really compare, but was still good!  Gelato is just better if you have it in Italy :)  Then we got her safely to the airport, and she arrived safe and sound and is now all moved in  and ready to start school, but we will sure miss her here!

Went to lunch with my dear friend.  We have a lot of fun together.

Miss E made it back to school, and Mr and Mrs A took her out to dinner. So sweet of them!

On Saturday, Ben and I were back up in the city to attend the temple again with a friend going through for the first time.  We had a fun day date up in the city.  Sure love this guy and being with him!

2022 Blue Jeans Week 33

What a fun week!  We had Mr and Mrs A visit us this week.  We were so excited to have them!  Not any really big plans, but we just enjoyed spending time together, and our weather was a little cooler, so we could do some stuff outside which was nice. It was a great week!  Take a look...

Yeah!  Mr and Mrs A are here!  Miss E helps Mrs A with her hair Sunday morning as we get ready for church.

Mr J played a special musical number at a community church this Sunday and did a beautiful job!

Yeah!  Look who is here, and look what they brought me!  Mrs A made (knitted) these ADORABLE mice for me!  So cute!!! I love them!

Puzzle time with Mrs A here.  We all love doing puzzles.

Made our August cake while Mr and Mrs A were here to help us enjoy it.  It was a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting--one of our favorites!  Miss E decorated it and did a great job!

Love walking on the trails with these kids!

Had fun playing disc golf with them too!

First day of school for Mr J!!  SENIOR YEAR!!!  crazy! And funny thing is I just noticed he wasn't wearing shoes in this picture...but he did wear shoes to school....
