It seemed like this week was a little more 'normal' since it was a full week of everyone back in school and back to routine. I like routine. That is my thing. So, here is what we have been up to this week. . .
Sunday: Miss A got some new books for Christmas and her birthday. It was nice she had some free time to enjoy them today.
Monday: Monday nights are family nights at our house. The first Monday night of the new year we always make our personal goals for the year. We focus on 4 different areas: Mental, Physical, Spiritual, and Temporal. These were the results of our goal setting tonight. They will be hung up in each person's room and then at the end of the year we review and put them in our scrapbooks.
Tuesday: Mr J finally lost his first tooth today, and he is 7 1/2. He was thinking this day would never come. We kind of were too. You can see the new tooth was already almost all the way in behind it. The dentist wasn't concerned, but Mr J was sure excited when it came out and to finally be able to leave something under his pillow for the tooth fairy! He even wrote her a note--so cute!
Awards assemblies this week. These kids rock!
Thursday: As I was finishing up my 2012 photo album I realized that we never got a picture of what Miss O got for Christmas. She got an ipod. She was so excited! So today she got the cool green cover she ordered for it, so we finally officially have on record that Miss O is a proud owner of an ipod.
Friday: I was soooooo excited today to finish my 2012 Project Life scrapbook!!!!! I did the Cobalt edition, and loved it! I was working really hard this week to finish it off--meaning writing all the journaling cards. So nice to close it and put it on the "look at" shelf instead of the "working on" shelf for all to see!
Saturday: We get to clean our church every couple of months. Today was our day. Miss O is an excellent window washer :)
Thanks for visiting and hope you all have a great week! I am planning on posting my 2012 reading list later this week, so be sure and check back!
Looks like a great week. I love the cobalt edition. Congrats on getting your book done. I'm still working on my 2 left to do ;) Your poor son having to wait soooo long to lose his 1st tooth. Glad it finally came out and I bet it made his day.
ReplyDeleteHa! We cleaned our church this Sat. too. :) Exciting times. Yay Mr. J for the lost tooth! He needs to chew on more Laffy Taffy. Ha ha. That is what's done the trick the last two times for mine :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing up 2012! Love the personal goals and the tradition behind them. What a great idea!
