2013 Blue Jeans Week 3

We had our share of the yucky sickness that has been going around this last week.  Luckily (so far) it has only been Mr J.  We hope it stays that way.  In my kids' school of 200 they had 30 kids out in one day.  We sure use our hand sanitizer a lot!!   Here is a look at our week. . .
Sunday:  Mr J woke up at 2 a.m. and threw up until 9 a.m.  Poor kid!  He set up shop in the bathroom.  Bless his heart!

Monday:  Monday night is family night, and we always play some kind of a game.  We take turns choosing.  Miss E chose the 'flour' game tonight.  Have you ever played it?  You pack a cup of flour and then carefully place it on a plate and stick a clean penny on top.  Everyone takes turns cutting some of the flour way, and the one that makes the penny fall loses and has to dig the penny out of the flour with their nose/mouth.  Fun game--my kids think it is hilarious!!!  I think it is one I played in college :)

Tuesday:  We have this bird feeder by our kitchen window, and we have had so many visitors lately.  This was our bunch this morning.  We had a male and female cardinal also, but they flew away before I got a shot.  Love to watch the birds.

Wednesday:  Miss E is in the DARE program at school which is a Drug education program.  She had her graduation from DARE today and got this cool shirt.

Thursday:  We had my dad over for dinner tonight.  My mom is out of town.  The kids always enjoy spending time with grandpa.

Friday:  Mr J has to read stories for his homework tonight.  It is fun to listen to him read.

Saturday:  Ben's work had their holiday party tonight.  It is nice to have it in January instead of the crazy of December.  He works with some great people!

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a great week!

  2. I hate it when the kids are sick especially the little ones. Glad he's better now. That flour game sounds hilarious. I've never heard of it before. Good to see you had a fun night out. We do that too--holiday parties in Jan instead. Makes a huge difference.

  3. :o( Sorry your kiddo was sick. It's kinda cute that he set up in the bathroom. Much easier than having to run there. Hope he's feeling much better.
I think that's a GREAT idea to have the holiday party in January. I wish my husband's company did that.

Also - love that you son set up a play station in the bathroom - now that's an inventor :)
