2013 Blue Jeans Week 28

A great week of summer here.  My older girls ran their first 5K at midnight which was fun, and we finally got some trees planted in our front yard.  More about that over 2 year drama here--let me just say electric companies and their easements are awful.  But we are happy to get new trees in and finally put that behind us.  Here is a look at our week. . .
Sunday afternoon and Ben is reading out loud to the kids.  One of our favorite family activities.

We have sister missionaries in our town from our Church and one of them was leaving this week, so we got a picture.  These ladies are amazing, and our family loves them!

Classic summer fun--jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler.  Mr J gets some air!

Our favorite summer pastime?  Watching this!  Lark Rise to Candleford is a very family friendly BBC series which my sister-in-law introduced us to and let us borrow her copy.  We love it!

Went to the city for some shopping today.  We love Costco and especially their ice cream!  Yum!

The girls after finishing their first midnight 5K.  They did awesome!

Finally getting some trees planted in our front yard!  Yeah!  We had good helpers!

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you had a great week!

I am linking up with Kleinworth Co and The Mom Creative.

  2. A midnight run sounds so fun and I really like the idea of sprinklers on the trampoline--how cool is that? So glad you guys finally got to put in some trees. Sounds like it was an ordeal just to get to this point but now they are in and I love how the whole family helped out.

  3. Great picture of Mr. J mid-air on the trampoline!
I've only seen one episode of Lark Rise to Candleford, but I really liked it.
I also ♥ that it has the guy that plays Mr. Bates from Downton Abbey in it! :)
    Have a LOVELY week!

  4. Love the trees! Way to go! Can't wait to see them in a few more years...

And if you recommend a BBC series, then I know it must be good :)

  5. Oh how I love the second shot of the group - rare when you can get them altogether like that. At least for me these days.
