2014 Daily December 8--week 49

For my Daily December today I am posting my pictures from last week.  Crazy busy week.  4 basketball games, 1 Christmas concert, 1 basketball tournament, 1 regional high school band and choir concert, and a little bit of "regular" life in between.  Here is a look at our week. . .
Took down our Thankful tree this week.  It got pretty full.  Much to be thankful for!

Basketball game--one of too many this week--this is Miss E's middle school team.  She is blond with braided hair and black headband right of the coach in blue shirt.  She has worked super hard this season--her first time to ever play, and has started every A team game and done great!

Christmas concert #1 this week--Mr J's elementary school program.  He sang his heart out!

Got to play the xylophone for one song and did a great job!

Trying to take some time in the evenings to relax around the tree.  We try to read a Christmas story each night along with our scriptures that focus on Christ and his life.  Tonight Ben read The Berenstain's Bears' Christmas which the kids still love no matter how old they are.

Mr J has cub scouts every week.  He has an amazing leader who is also one of my bestest friends!  Tonight they did drumming--super fun!

Miss O's first high school basketball game was this week.  Let her season begin.  She did awesome!  Made this shot and her team won.  A great way to start the season!

As Miss O starts her season, Miss E is getting ready to end hers.  Her team had a tournament Saturday which they won!  Sorry for the blurry picture, but she made this basket, and 4 more points in addition that helped her team win the tournament.  They got gold medals and were so excited!

After lots of basketball we attended the high school regional band and choir concerts.  Miss O is in there somewhere with her French horn.  The band sounded awesome!

Here she is with her French horn.

High school regional Choir concert.  They were also awesome, and Miss A is in there somewhere. .

A close-up of where she actually was.  The choir was beautiful, and we sure enjoyed the hard work of all the kids!

Thanks for visiting! Come back often as I am doing my Daily December posting this month.  Have a good one!

  1. Oh my--such a busy week! I know basketball schedules are super crazy in Dec and to have concerts on top of that. I'm not sure how you do it. It's good you can and try to squeeze in a couple quiet evenings by the tree. Mr J looks so handsome all dressed in his suit. I hope things slow a bit for you so you can take in and enjoy this season. Only one more week before my kids are on break and all activities stop until the new year. Can't wait for the downtime.
